# Discord server rules

> The rules for the love.rip Discord server. Read them before you chat, and follow them to keep the community friendly and safe for everyone.

These rules apply to everyone in the [love.rip Discord](https://discord.gg/loverip). By joining, you agree to follow them.

  <Step title="Be Respectful">
    Treat everyone in the community with respect. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, hate speech, personal attacks, and intentionally hostile behavior are not allowed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="No Use of the N-Word">
    The N-word is strictly prohibited in all contexts. This includes jokes, quotes, lyrics, memes, reclaimed usage, or any other situation regardless of intent.
  </Step>

  <Step title="No Ragebaiting or Provoking Others">
    Do not intentionally try to upset, annoy, or provoke other members. Repeatedly starting arguments or targeting members for a reaction is not acceptable.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Follow Staff Directions">
    When a Staff member asks you to stop, move a conversation, change something, or clarify an issue, please follow their instructions.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use Channels Properly">
    Keep conversations and content in the appropriate channels. Support requests, advertisements, bug reports, events, and other topics should be posted where they belong.

    If you're unsure where something should go, check the channel description or ask a Staff member.
  </Step>

  <Step title="No Spam or Chat Flooding">
    Do not flood the server with repeated messages, reactions, emojis, mentions, links, images, or other unnecessary content.

    Anything that intentionally clutters conversations or disrupts the community may be removed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="No NSFW or Inappropriate Content">
    Sexually explicit, NSFW, graphic, shocking, or otherwise inappropriate content is not allowed.

    This applies to messages, usernames, avatars, profiles, links, images, videos, and embeds.

    Severe NSFW or shock content may result in an immediate ban.

  <Step title="No Unauthorized Advertising">
    Do not advertise or promote your own services, products, social media, websites, servers, referral links, or other projects without permission.

    love.rip-related promotion may be allowed in designated channels. Do not randomly DM members or approach people solely to promote your profile or content.
  </Step>

  <Step title="English Only">
    The primary language of the server is English.

    Please use English when communicating in the community unless a specific channel states that other languages are allowed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="No Fake or Misleading Content">
    Do not create or share fake messages, edited screenshots, fabricated conversations, or other content designed to mislead members or impersonate someone.

    This includes using bots or other tools to create false context. Even if there was no harmful intent, misleading content can create confusion and security issues.
  </Step>

  <Step title="No Scams, Abuse, or Malicious Activity">
    Scamming, phishing, doxxing, threats, blackmail, malicious files, exploit distribution, or attempts to harm other members or the love.rip community are strictly prohibited.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Do Not Evade Punishments">
    Do not attempt to bypass a moderation action by using another account, changing your identity, or otherwise circumventing a restriction.

    Attempting to evade a punishment may result in further action, including a ban.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Respect Everyone's Privacy">
    Do not share someone's private information, private conversations, staff-only information, or personal content without their permission.

    Respect the privacy of everyone in the community.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Keep Support Requests Clear">
    When contacting support, provide enough information for Staff to understand and help with your issue.

    Do not intentionally waste staff time, troll support channels, submit unnecessary tickets, or provide misleading information.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use Common Sense">
    These rules cannot cover every possible situation.

    If you're intentionally disrupting the community, exploiting loopholes, repeatedly pushing boundaries, or engaging in behavior that clearly goes against the spirit of these rules, Staff may take appropriate action even if the exact behavior is not specifically listed above.

## Enforcement

Staff can warn, mute, kick or ban members depending on how serious the issue is. Serious breaks, like scams or threats, can lead to an instant ban without a warning.

## Reporting

If you see someone breaking the rules, ping or message a moderator, or open a ticket at [love.rip/dashboard/support](https://www.love.rip/dashboard/support). Don't try to moderate others yourself.
